Matthew Dotson
Since 1986, the year I was born, I have attended the Centerville Church of Christ. My parents, Roger and Susan Dotson, raised me in this congregation and showed me what a Christian family looked like. Centerville has always been (and will always be) my home, and I consider it an honor every day to be able to work for God’s church here. As a teenager I spent two summers interning for our youth minister, Craig Shelton. Those summers helped me discover my passion for ministry.
I have been working with the Centerville Church of Christ since the summer of 2008 when I was hired as the “Preacher-in-Training,” and it has truly been a blessing to my life. In addition to working at the church, I am also a full-time teacher at Hickman County High School in Centerville. I teach a variety of Social Studies classes including U.S. History, Civics and U.S. Government.
In May 2009 I married my best friend and the love of my life, Cecily Potts. She has the most tender heart that I know, and she is truly a Godly woman. The Lord has blessed me beyond measure by placing her in my life. We have been blessed with two sons, Bruin Michael in 2014 and Keegan George in 2016. We currently live in the Fox Haven community along with our two pugs, Mattie and Aggie.
As the Associate Minister, I am willing to help anyone in any way I possibly can. My contact information is at the bottom of the page, so please feel free to contact me at any time. Thank you for visiting our website, and we do hope you will come worship with us soon!
